Gloria Aurora Champion M. Ed, LPC-S

I have dedicated my life to the service of emotional and mental healthcare for almost four decades. Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives. This interest grew into my undying passion for the mental health industry and I have built a career of excellence leading organizations, publishing articles, serving children and adults in English and Spanish. As a bilingual licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist, I am committed to the well-being of all my clients and go above and beyond to cater to their needs.
I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. Since 1977, I have worked on a variety of unique cases and individuals within the context of relationships and circumstances that are critical to their lives.

Patterns from the past can impact both present and future. But we all have the power to overcome our past and present obstacles in order to become the people we need to be— and deserve to be. I believe that the keys to good counseling are strong empathy, an open and curious mind, and collaboration between counselor and client. I am a practicum student but look forward to many years of listening and learning from clients.

Supervisor: Gloria A. Champion, LPC-S

Life can be challenging at times, but there are many paths out of the struggle. I believe that people are the experts of their own lives, and a counselor works as a guide to help the client uncover the answers that are already inside of them. Through collaboration, therapy can be a place of power for a client. Effective counseling is rooted in deep care, mutual respect, and perpetual learning. As a practicum student, I look forward to learning and growing with you.
